Imagine you are in jail. Someone falsely accused you of murder. He claims to have the murder weapon and evidence that proves beyond a shadow of doubt that you are the murder.
The court has assigned a lawyer to represent you. But another lawyer heard about your case and has graciously offered to be your lawyer for free. His name is Alan Greenleaf, a founder of HARVARD LAW GRADUATE SCHOOL and the greatest authority on evidence.

Do you choose the court appointed lawyer or Alan Greenleaf? The wisest decision is obvious. Its like someone who wants to give you a free gift of $250,000 or $25 bucks. You can only pick one of the cash amounts.

Ever lied? Stolen? Lusted (God sees your thoughts - see Matt. 5:27-28)? Did you know 10 out of 10 people die? We all have an appointment to keep. On Judgment Day when you stand before a Holy Just God (your Maker), will you be guilt or innocent? Are you 100% sure you will not go to Hell? A Holy Just God will not overlook your crimes. You will have to give account for every wicked thing spoken, done, or in secret. What shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Here is the Good News: God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, and that God commands all men everywhere to repent and trust in Jesus Christ.

You are on the Heaven's Most Wanted list. Someone gave this to you because they care for you so much. They want to see you soundly saved so that you can go to Heaven. If the Spirit is calling you to respond, please visit www.NeedGod.com or read the Gospel of John.  Tell God to show you the truth and He is faithful to answer your request. This will be the most important and wises decision you'll ever make.
Footnotes: As Dane Professor of Law at Harvard University was primarily responsible for Harvard's eminent position among law schools in the United States. Greenleaf produced a famous, three-volume work. A Treatise on the Law of Evidence, which Knott, in The Dictionary of American Biography says was called "the greatest single authority on evidence in the entire literature of legal procedure."

How would the Gospel accounts of the Resurrection of Christ be regarded if they were submitted as evidence in a court of law? This fascinating question forms the basis for Simon Greenleaf's classic study of the rules of legal evidence.

With a lawyer's skill, Greenleaf put his principles to work as he examined the historical evidence surrounding the resurrection of Jesus Christ as recorded in the Bible and other historical writings. After a very careful examination, he wrote a book entitled An Examination of the Testimony of the Four Evangelists by the Rules of Evidence Administered in the Courts of Justice (1874). He concluded: Let [the Gospels'] testimony be sifted, as it were given in a court of justice on the side of the adverse party, the witness  being subjected to a rigorous cross-examination. The result, it is confidently believed, will be an undoubting conviction of their integrity, ability, and truth.
Prof. Greenleaf examined the Gospels and concluded that their account of the miraculous Resurrection of Christ would have to be accepted as factual in any court of law.
