| One True Voice UK....Supporting the band since 25/11/2002 |

| Popstars: The Rivals started off in Summer 2002. Thousands of people auditioned...many to be eventually turned down. The few that did make it had a series of dance and voice lessons, and had to walk the 'Green Mile' to see if they had made it into the next stage. Soon, it was time for the Judges, Pete Waterman, Geri Halliwell and Louis Walsh, to break the news to the last few...to be told whether they would make it into the final 20. The 'popstars' were visited at their homes...many told they hadn't made it...but 10 boys and 10 girls heard the lucky words of ...' Your Coming to London!!'. The 20 finalists moved into popstars houses...one house for the lads and one for the girls. The ten finalists for the boys were Andrew, Peter, Nick, Mikey, who thought of the final band name, Chris, Jamie, Anton, Daniel, Matt and Keith. For five weeks worth of shows...they sang their hearts out each night...hoping to stay in the house...but the one downfall of all this attention...each week one had to leave. It was very emotional whenever anybody left...but in the second week of their contest Peter Smith...who was almost certain to make the band...confessed to being too old. This shocked everybody...and all the boys shed a tear. Week after week...song after song...the numbers of the lads were falling until 6 were left. On an 'emotional rollercoaster' of an evening...the band were decided bythe public vote...and One True Voice were formed. First into the band was Keith. Then Matt. Next it was Daniel. After it was Anton...and finally was Jamie. The band made it to number 2 in the christmas charts, just behind Girls Aloud, and are now set to make it BIG!!! |
