| Love at Last I wish that I could see your thoughts And know just how you feel Those feelings wouldn't matter much They wouldn't be a big deal They would however, show me just How much I'd have to do To win you over, let you see How much that I love you I just want you to understand My promises I'll keep I'm new at this, your my first love The road is steep I'm struggling now with every step I don't know where to turn But if you would and if you know I'm here willing to learn Your face is in my memory locked It's that smile I'll adore If to live on that one memory alone I'll love you all the more Though I'm proud of what I've wrote And want for you to see This poem's beauty doesn't compare With the beauty in you, to me These words I write are what I feel They'll never go away And since you're reading this right now Our love begins today ------------------------------------------------------- Why Why take just to lose Why laugh just to cry Why sleep just to wake Why live just to die? You give me peace and joy and hope... and more Why do I still struggle? | The Heart Comes First Shall I compare your beauty to the sea? Something more vast than vastness in itself? I again do wonder if my mind fools me And steals my secret thoughts with silent stealth Sometimes too much vision control the heart And often love takes action without eyes And everything from within me must start By chance to see and love the unkown skies But if vastness continues beyond sight Nor is beauty lost when the body sleeps Nor shall anything remove love at night When in the heart a special someone's kept So long as vastness means the same as love So long lives this lesson from love above ------------------------------------------------------- Sit Here Alone God once again I sit here alone The wind grabs my conscience And chills to the bone I think and wonder Of what's been before When my mind was strong And my wings could soar My mind slips away From the problem at hand But it's finally returned By my body's demand I just don't know how To express all the pain The pressure's so strong I don't think I can contain The emotions, the feelings That dwell from within That fragile conscience Screaming in my skin My worthless remains Are left here to die And I'm left with one question And that question is "why" ------------------------------------------------------- Do You Ever Do you ever wonder why The Earth revolves around the sun? Have you ever comtemplated If this is all that there could be?
