Dreams are crazy things sometimes. Last night's dream was nothing short of insane. It all began with myself and some friends playing on the T.V. game show "Fear Factor. Chloe (my friend Gina), Bridget, Kevin and I had just finished the first round, and we had to wait until tomorrow to attempt the grossout chalenge in the second round. I had remarked my weakness toward disgusting foods, but luckily we were told it wasn't going to be a food challenge.
The next day, the five remaining contestants were all woken up because the challenge was about to start and the last one there would be eliminated. We all ran to the location, which happened to be at Charlestown, in the Fireside Manager's Office. I was the third to arrive, with Bridget and Chloe were behind me. I turned around, and Bridget was pushing Chole in a wheelchair! I wanted to find out what had happened, so I ran back to them. Chloe had hurt her back so she couldn't run. As it turned out, the fifth contestant (not Bridget or Kevin) had also hurt his back and was also in a wheelchair!
As the story continued, I never got to complete the challenge (was I the one eliminated?). Instead, I had to go to school. I went to two classes that day: a math class and an english class. In the math class, we learned of a paper we would be writng, and in elglish we were given a series of short in-class essays to write.
Well, after classes, I was headeing home when I decided to check up on the competition. It was getting dark, and  everyone was gone. Everyone except for Chloe, that is. See had been left there in her chair, waiting for a ride, but no one was able to come get her. I decided to give her a lift, and when we got in the car, it became my mom's van, filled with trash and all. In it were also a bunch of pillows which were very helpful in propping Chloe up in the back seat.
On the way home, I got lost. I couldn't decide whether it was better to take her to her house or bring her back to mine. I knew it was better for her to be home, but she didn't have a key and she didn't expect anyone to be there. So we wandered the streets for a while. I went straight through turn lanes and stopped at green lights. I think this may have perhaps been because I was nervous and really liked this girl. (In the dream, but makes you wonder about my sub-concious)

Alright --- back to real life for a minute --- it was getting bright in my room at this time. This made it hard to sleep or keep the dream going. The dream stalled at this point, but I kept seeing me driving, trying to find my way to someone's house. Eventually however, I feel back asleep and when the dream came back, it seemed to be about a week later.
Chloe (Gina) and I both went to Navigators, and she usually drove herself there, but today she was injured. I decided the nice thing to do was to offer her a ride since, for some reason, I felt responsible for her current condition. When I got to this tiny little apartment (almost totel room sized), I found her mother there by the door, as well as Chloe doing something in the back of the room. As it turned out, her leg was broken, not her back. Anyways, I asked her if she was going to Navs that night and if she wanted a ride. Her response was a strange one; "That would be a little awkward, it would be too much like a boyfriend-girlfriend thing." I tried to explain how I meant nothing like that, but she got into an argumentative conversation with her mother about ages and dating.
While they were talking, I noticed a paper amidst a pile on the table. The paper had my name on it! AS I picked it up and read it, I realized it was my english essays from last week.First I looked at the grade : 7%. I was awestruck. I had never gotten anything near a 7% before in my life! I opened the booklet up and found that I had barely written anything!
Succumbing to the fact that there was nothing more I could do for Chloe, I left. My mind was racing, wondering how it would be a problem even if it was a dating thing. We were less than two years in age, and she used to get rides from Dave, who had been four years older than her! It was confusing. I decided her mother could take her to Navs if she wanted to go.
Next, I had somewhere to go. It was in the same building as Chloe's house, just a few floors up, on 251. As I walked up ther stairs, there was Dave. I didn't get much time to talk to him; he was in a hurry and mumbling about some prescription Mr. Stum had recommended. I followed him up to floor 253, two floors above my desired destination. When I discovered I was too high, I went looking for different stairs. I found an elevator, but I decided to take the stairs that were hidden underneath a nearby set of benches. With people watching, I climbed under the bench and down the two flights of stairs.
When I finally got to floor 251, I realized my destination was once again school. The past week had been spring break. When I got to my math class, I was shocked to remember the draft for the paper I was supposed to write was due today! I learned that I could have written about one of two men. One had discovered the difference between the words "phonetics" and "phobia", while the other had created the terms "homophonetic" and "heterophonetic". Though it didn't sound like much of a math lesson, I sat and listen to the instructor talk more about these men. With this scene, everything faded away.

Now, I'm not a dream expert, but I see an important theme throughout my dream. The story concentrates on three main areas of my life: work, school, and Navigators. Nowhere in my dream do I go home, and family members are never mentioned. The fact that I cared about my grades is a constant in the dream and in my life. Perhaps I am looking too deeply behind the details. Altogether, this dream does show a little about me, but it also shows the random capacity of the dream state. Think back: I never did go to Navigators, did I? Oh, and who won the fear factor competition? Only my unconcious mind knows.
But A Dream
Back
The Unknown World
This is my rememberances of a dream I had the night of April 17, 2003. I thought it was an interesting dream, so I wrote it down and added a few comments to it. Hope you enjoy my subconcious mind.
