Our Class Leadership Positions
Does anyone remeber our third day of school? I'm sure all of us will remember that day. (: If you don't, what actually happened was that Ms. Sie asked all of us to prepare a speech. It was meant for an election the very next day for the positions that we want. Now, the results are out!

Let's all welcome our two new class representatives:
Wen Hui and Isabel

CONGRATULATIONS~

There are many other leadership positions in our class. So, those who didn't get the position for the class representatives don't feel upset. There's always another chance next time. (: I bet Ms. Sie made everyone have a leadership position anyway. (: Well, a round of applause of the class reps.

Interview with Ms. Tan
As we all know Ms. Tan Ze Ling has already stopped teaching us for quite some time. She has taught us only for a few days. The E-Newsletter Team have specially prepared this interview between us and Ms. Tan for all you 1 SY girls out there!

This was what our conversation was like:

Us: Ms. Tan, what are your hobbies?
Ms. Tan: I like to play basketball...piano and also reading!

Us: What is your main goal in life then?
Ms. Tan: Yah, um.. I would like to be a doctor.

Us: So, how much did you get for PSLE and for your
      'O' Levels?
Ms. Tan: I got 263 for my PSLE and 7 points for my 'O' Levels!
So, I went to Hwa Chong Institution.

Us: Anyway, who's your favourite singer or actor?
Ms. Tan: I like Jay Chou (Ms. Tan smiles to herself) and I like
              Johnny Depp too.

Us: Why don't you tell us something that you find is weird about
      yourself?
Ms. Tan: Um... I don't drink Fizzy Drinks. I only drink water, juice,
               and milk.

Us: Okay, why not tell us something embarrassing in your life?
Ms. Tan: Um.. okay, there was this time when it was my prefect's
investiture and I had to act as Superman and I had to kill
a snake. That was so awkward! Oh yes and there was
another time..let me think.. ah.. it was my talent time. Just
because I like the song Wo Niu (Chinese for Snail), my
friends made me the snail of the show! I had to walk around
the stage with my snail costume. That was the most
                 embarrassing momment in my life.

Us: Before you leave, would you mind telling us why you chose to
       teach here?
Ms. Tan: Of course not. Firstly, this was my Secondary School and
I'm grateful to SCGS for my achievement today. Oh yes,
and anyway, my sister is the vice-head prefect here. She's
the one with the longer hair.

Us: Thank you Ms. Tan for spending time on this interview. I'm sure we
will definitely welcome you back with open arms.

By the way, Ms. Tan is still in school! For some, it is indeed some joyous news. We were very happy that we were able to get Ms. Tan to answer many of our questions. Due to time restraints, we were unable to continue our interview. But we were happy enough and grateful to Ms. Tan for spending time on this interview.
