We lay on the beach under the stars,
watching them twinkle as if giving their blessing.
Holding each other tight as the water surrounds us,
then gently goes out to sea.

Knowing for now,
that this is but a brief moment of time,
savoring every second.
Gentle breeze of the night air
as it stirs through the palm trees.
The leaves swaying with each movement.

The warmth of your breath upon my skin,
the soft wetness of your lips as they caress mine.
Our bodies in tune as if one.
Starring into each others eyes,
the reflection of love as it sparkles.

What, could this be love?
or just the moon reflecting off the water?
For us the feelings are real and yet
each, denying them, from fear of past hurts.

We lay in each others arms,
enjoying the sensations,
as the moon slowly fades away,
and the brightness of the sun takes its place.
and, so my love,
until we meet again.

As you can see,my heart races to be with you,
my mind is wandering as never before.
I have tried to sleep,
to close my eyes and shut out the day,
only to see your face as I lay awake.
I wish for a chance to see you again,
to join our hearts, our minds, our souls,
if only for a day.

The fear, oh the fear,the fear of never seeing you again.
It race's through my mind,
and like a thief in the night, it steals my sleep,
There is no rest for my soul,
as the sadnest raps around my heart like a serpent.
As I lay here, my mind drifts back to the first days of our meeting.
The smell of the night, the sounds of the water,
the sparkle in your eyes as they looked out over the ocean.

You see,it's hard not to love someone like you.
When I think of you my mind drifts and my spirits are raised,
my heart beats like a lone drummer upon a grave.
It beats a timeless rhythm that no one can hear.
These words are mere ink and thoughts,
but they bring me a moment ever so sweet.
Within these pages are my true deeds,
the moments, the memories, these are my needs.

Alas,there is a ray of hope.
As I drift off to sleep,
I feel a peace in dreaming of seeing you again.

My love has grown,by leaps and bounds.
I trust your wisdom, for it's always sound.
For these reasons and many, many more,
how could I ever close that door.
Sometimes, our minds they do combine,
our hearts they do entwine.

As time goes on, I want it more and more.
Sometimes we are blessed to find the best
and with the Lord's blessing,
I have found you.
Anyone who ever loved could look at me and know that
I love you.
