One Struggling Mom
Hello and thank you for taking the time to view my website. My site is simple. It's about me, my struggle to raise my family with dignity and asking for a little help from good people with family values.
My name is Stacy, I am 28 years old and a single mother of the two most wonderful boys anyone could ask for. I currently work two jobs, one at a retail store in a neighboring town and at a label manufacturer here in our home town. After the Christmas season ended they cut my hours at both jobs. In fact I haven't been called in to the label maufacturer since Christmas. I can't afford a babysitter, so thank The Lord that I have a great family support system. I wouldn't be able to even go to work if it weren't for; my Mom and Dad. My Mom and Dad have helped me pay my bills, but they can't support my family and theirs forever.
My oldest son, who will be 10 in January, was diagnosed with a rare incureable disease called Localized Linear Scleroderma about three years ago. Because of this Auto Immune Disorder he has contracted Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, another incureable disease. He keeps his head up, his faith in God and his faith in me as his mother. He lives his life to the fullest regardless. He is a straight A student. He is a wonderful, caring and overprotective big brother. He is a great son who makes me proud.
My  youngest son, who will be seven in March, is a special delight. On December 31, 2001 he was visiting his paternal grandparents and was bittin in the face by their family dog. He received plastic surgery and numerous stitches from the attack. He has visible scars and a fear of dogs, but he shines just the same. He showed his first signs of being a fighter the day he was born, with a hole in his lung. He spent a week in an Arizona NICU, fighting for his life. They gave him a 50/50 chance of survival. But, with our faith in God and many prayers he came home, small but healthy. And at the age of three months he said his first words, "I Love You" He's a wonderful son and we all love him.
I love my children with all of my heart. I am trying to be the best mom I can possibly be. I know I will never be as great as my Mom, but I do try. I feel like a failure at times. I work hard at good paying jobs, but as always those jobs are out of town. My kids hate it when I leave to work and I miss them when I am gone. So I try to find work around here, this small town is bias to a certain religion, which I just so happen to not be. Therefore I only get hired for low paying jobs with low hours. But even having the two jobs that I have and sometimes working 13 hours a day between them, I still can't make ends meet.
This is where I swallow my pride, but not hard enough to stand on a street corner with a sign and my dog, and ask you for help. This is what I ask of you. Please help me raise my family by, praying for my children and my family and by sending me one dollar. I am not offering you anything in return but a THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart, God Bless You and a prayer for you and yours. If you don't have the dollar or don't care to send it, that is fine. But please, take the time to say a prayer, a prayer for yourself, a prayer for a loved one or a prayer to say thank you for the blessings God has given you.
Thank you again for taking the time to read this. God Bless you, your family and friends. Please take the time to pray. Please help one another in times of need and count your blessings everyday.
