How To Be Steady In Your Storm
Mark 4:35-41
A study by Pastor Jerry Frazier Pastor,
Fountain Gate Worship Center
Life offers storms and it's best to be in the boat with the Master as you hold fast.
"Holding fast" is one of the most frequent exhortations throughout the Scripture.
Here are five necessary instructions that will cause you to be steady in your storms:
1}  Hold fast to the complete revelation of truth. {Titus 1:9}a} Stick to the "Divine Expression":  the 'Word made alive.'b} Failure is the path of least persistence. {2 Tim 1:13}
2}  Hold fast to our confession of Christ. {Hebrews 4:14} a} Lay hold of YOUR covenant agreement with Father God.  b} Our covenant Keeper is not a dead martyr, but a Living Saviour! c} Necessity makes even the timid brave.
3}  Hold fast to all that conforms to His will. {1 Thessalonians 5:21} a} To be steady in your storm, listen to the Captain. b} Conforming to His will releases "peace, be still." 1} the true translation for '...be still' is 'be muzzled.' {The same as you would for an out of control dog} c} A silenced enemy is an awesomeanswer in the midst of your storm!
4}  Hold fast our confidence in His coming. {Hebrews 3:6} a} Rejoice and boast of the glory during your storm.   b} When the winds howl, you need to shout! {Numbers 23:21} c} A smooth sea never made a skillful mariner. d} Confident believers always become acheivers.
5}  Hold fast our combined treasures in Christ. {Revelation 3:1} a} SIEZE YOUR POSSESSIONS! b} DON'T THROW YOUR PROVISIONS OVERBOARD!
