Psalm 23
This is an eye opener that, probably, we never thought of. We often repeat the Psalm verbatim, without thinking about it. Well, here are some thought provoking ideas:
The Lord is my Shepherd
(He seeks relationship)
I shall lack nothing
(He supplies)
He lets me lie down in green pastures
(He gives rest)
He leads me to still waters
(He refreshes me)
He restores my soul
(He provides Healing)
He leads me to the path of righteousness
(He gives guidance)
for his name's sake
(He gives purpose)
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
(testing-that doesn't lead to death)
I do not fear evil
(He protects me)
for you are with me
(He is faithful)
Your rod and staff comfort me
(He provides discipline)
He prepares a table for me in the presence of my enemies
(He gives hope)
You anoint me with oil
(He consecrates us)
My cup runs over
(He gives abundantly)
Surely goodness and mercy are with me throughout my lifetime
(His blessing)
I will live in the house of the Lord
(He provides security)
forever
(for all eternity)
So there you have it. It's something to think about. The bigness of God is beyond what our minds can conceive. So look at it with spiritual eyes.
