| This piece was inspired by tales of the ancient Moon Goddess Cults from Greece. Priestesses of these cults would wear semilunar neckpieces of hammered silver that were sharpened along the long curved edge. These neckpieces, now known as lunulas, were used in sexual sacrifices of males to the Moon Goddess. My interpretation is more of a handheld weapon than a wearable one, to me making the weapon more powerful and menacing. | |||||||||
