The ARC
I have very little faith in mankind. Possibly because of our lack of concern over our fellow man, or the way we kill each other over silly things like politics and religion. The way we kill animals for amusement and destroy our planet. I have my own vision of the future, but it's not pretty. Our self made utopia of black air, polluted oceans, and paved rain forests. A land devoid of life because of our own self importance. There will be no wild life, there won't be room for it except maybe in a zoo. I don't see a way around it. We humans need much and take more and by the time we figure out a way to reverse our ways, some animals will be no more. The last rhino will have been killed to be used as an aphrodisiac, the last kangaroo will be killed a pest, and the last wolf killed as a threat. We will drive nearly every animal to extinction, before we die off ourselves.
Yes, I really believe that is our future. Eventually the earth will recover after most of us have died off but with a destroyed eco-system. So it came to me in my cheerful thoughts that what we really need to do is create and ARC, like Noah or Gilgamesh from long ago. Unlike Noah we would not be content to gather the animals two by two, but catalogue and gather seeds of every plant, eggs of every animals, and complete data on every biome. One day when the earth begins to recover, we could rebuild our planet, this time not in our own image.
