By the mid-1600s, Dye families were living in VA. Apparently,
most of them went from VA to Fairfield and Chester Counties in
South Carolina, but there were those who preferred Tennessee and
went there. The ones who went from VA to SC migrated on to Amite,
Calhoun, and Chickasaw Counties in Mississippi and remained there
for quite some time.
One son in particular, seems to be of interest to a lot of
researchers. His name was Evans Shelby Dye and he resided in
Cross County, ARK.
