            Recently I have been working as a contractor for several staffing and contracting companies.

I am now looking for full time work in Information Technology, supporting a campus style work environment, multi-floor or multi-location.

For short term contracts, I am able to commit to most with less than a 24 hour notice, or reserve future days for a potential work offer.

Salary requirements are $18.00 to $45.00 per hour, dependent on the amount of responsibility and expertise required.

• With my well-developed skills in Computers, Networks and Internetworking, I can easily analyze and solve wiring and technical problems.
• I am a self starter, able to multitask, prioritize and organize work efforts and work independently or as a team member to complete jobs on time with 100% customer or user satisfaction.

• I am a non-smoker and non-drinker. My vehicle is a 2005 Dodge Dakota truck.

• Dell Foundations 2008 for desktops and portables certifications, the Dell PowerEdge 1950/2900/2950 servers and Dell Customer Experience V.2.5 certifications. In February 2008, I passed a drug and background check for Dell.
• I build my own computers and use my computer and networking expertise on a daily basis. My office PC is a 3.0G Dual Core, with 2G RAM, 512MB Video, and X-Fi 6.1 sound. My monitor is a Gateway 24” widescreen HD monitor.

Duties at Lucent Technologies

Some of my job duties from 1994 to 2005:

·        Installation and maintenance of Routers, Switches and DSL Modems from Midland to Texarkana, Texas. This includes trouble-shooting of circuit wiring problems.

·        New installation, maintenance and upgrades of Sun Microsystems Servers, AT&T, Compaq and HP Computers, HP printers and AT&T Cluster Controllers and all associated equipment and wiring, in a 17-acre manufacturing and engineering plant from 1994 to 2001.

·        Worked from floor plans to order equipment, install and test network and voice “Structured” cabling. This includes installing racks, mounting equipment, patch panels and in-wall cabling. Also installed and tested AVAYA desk phones, HP office printers and fax machines.

·        Engineering and installation of weather station equipment and cameras through out North Texas, for www.WeatherBug.com.

·        Responsible for my own company van and credit cards.

 

Recent Work and Other Skills (2005 to present)

• Some of the equipment I have worked on is: Dell desktops and laptops, Cisco Routers. Installation and testing of POS (Point Of Sale) equipment from the router to the cash register.
• Running and terminating CAT 5e and coaxial cable in a commercial environment, using “Structured Cabling” methods. (I can provide all job materials needed)
• Experienced with migration from Windows 2000 to XP Pro, on an existing PC or to a new PC. (I have a 32GB flash drive that I used on the last migration job)

• I am an expert on Windows 95, 98 and XP (Pro) Media Center Edition 2005. I am comfortable supporting Microsoft Windows 2000, Vista, Office applications and all computer peripherals, including HP and Lexmark office printers.
• My experience with our own Home Theater Entertainment System gives me a great understanding of Audio/Video management and terminology, along with computer and component integration and configuration. I have a networked PC connected to our 57” HDTV.
