A Resent Photo Of Rita

About Rita (Secretary Of One Nation Broken Hill)

I have been Secretary of P.H.O.N. for the past three years. I have always had an interest in politics although only a  passing interest. However, I became more interest when Pauline Hanson first came to Broken Hill in 1997 and I went to hear what she had to say as she was very controversial, and still is. However I realised what she had  to say was exactly what was happening in the world today, not very good things at that, but One Nation proposed to start doing things in the interest of the Australian workers and not the multi-nationals.

My family and myself had always been Labor people as that was the way to go. Being a worker, the Labor party was for the worker. But not any more. It is too closely aligned  with the liberal Party. It has become farcical. The Labor party today is no longer the party it was in my father's day.

I worked as Senior School Administrative Assistant at Willyama High School for many years having  started work as a young mum. I recently retired from that position and now able to give more time to pursue other interests. I also for 10 years had an interest in the Guiding movement in Broken Hill, having been  District Leader for 5 years of that period. I have a family of three and I am vitally interested in their children's future so I decided to take what action I could in regards to trying to help Pauline in her goal so  that they may have a better future than the present younger generation with no job security and a break-down of family life.

In my own small way, I hope that I can achieve to make the world a better place.
