Woodworking can cover alot of area with alot of catagories. This is a mixed bag of different wood projects. Hubby does the cabinet making, and frame making, I do the scrollsaw, and painting.
This is the first scrollsaw project that is finished, the detailing is done with woodburning.. In looking for patterns for other crafts I somehow came across the scrollsawing. It caught my interest and thats all it took. We go yardsaling, and hit the flea markets to see what kind of treasures we can find, a second hand scrollsaw was sitting at a flea market just waiting for us to find it. Its been going strong ever since. I break a few blades along the way in my learning process but what beginner doesn't. My very first projects were puzzles which I've made for my grandson, painted up and sealed.
My cousin Chip is a wood carver and is extremely talented in his own right. Below are some of his chainsaw carvings.
