Cool Sites to check out...
www.ii-nami.com
This site has live cameras set up at various breaks in Miyazaki. Click on the
box that says "ライブカメラにGO!". This will open up a smaller window that has a list
of spots on the left hand side. From top to bottom (and North to South), the
spot names are "Okura-ga-Hama", "Kane-ga-Hama", "Ikura-ga-Hama", "Hitotsuba", "Aoshima",
"Ume-ga-Hama", and "Koi-ga-Ura". Just click on the one you want to check. Once
the live camera is up and running, you can use the buttons to control the
camera! Make it go left, right, up, down, or zoom in and out. To get control,
click on the red button that says "カメラを動かす" then a number will come up in the
little box next to it that shows how many seconds you have to wait until you
will be in charge of the show. Enjoy.
www.imoc.co.jp
This site has predicted swell size and direction information. Go to the bottom
of the first page and you'll find a table of different colored links. Click on
the bottom right one - "波浪予想図". Another table will appear. This one has dates
and times in the left column. Clicking on the "日本" link will show the predicted
swell size and direction for the whole of Japan for that particular date and
time. If you are only interested in southern Japan, click "南日本" instead.
