Greater St. Stephen of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. located at 14700 Puritan (1 blk w of Hubbell) located inside Spirit & Truth Christian Ministries. The church that believes in soul-winning. We are not your day to day ordinary church we believe in CHURCH "Business Not As Usual". If you are caught up in traditional ways this might not be the place for you. But if you need to be cleasned from all your sins, the Blood of Jesus can set you free. We proclaim to be the church where you can be consumed by the presence of God, arrested by the Holy Ghost, living a sanctified life, seeing deliverance being manifested, sickness and diseases being cursed, debts being cancelled, prospertity taking authority over our finances, joy uplifting us, blessings overtake us, worship is a must for His children, praise shall be demonstrated with much zeil and adoration and most of all that you will never leave the way you came.
Elder Smith son of Pastor Deborah Satterwhite has started in early childhood worship with family at St. Stephen A.M.E. Church in Detroit. To being taught under the unction of the Holy Ghost at Greater Grace Temple-Detroit under the leadership of the late Bishop David L Ellis to the continuation in ministry under the youthful and dynmaic Bishop Charles H Ellis III and steadfast training in ministry under Elder Spencer T Ellis.
By the leading of the Lord and struggle with the Spirit to move on from GGT to be with his Godparents his Dad & Mom, the anointed & appointed Bishop James A Williams & Pastor Kelli Williams of the Spirit & Truth Christian Ministries of Detroit. The Lord has need of Pastor Smith to move him from his comfort zone to a new plan. With the direction of the Holy Spirit and guidance of Bishop Williams we present to you out of the birth of Pastor Smith belly through the Holy Spirit Greater St. Stephen Apostolic Church.
WHAT WE BELIEVE:
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God: written by the Holy men of old as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. II Peter 1:20-21.
In one God who is infinite in power, Holy in nature, attributes and purpose: omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. We believe that He was revealed to us, Father in creation, Son in redemption and Holy Spirit in His comforting grace that never leaves those who trust in Him. I Corinthians. 8:6; Eph. 4:6; II Corinthians. 5:19; Joel 2:28.
That in Jesus Christ dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; for it pleased the Father that in Him should all the fullness dwell. Col. 2:9; Col. 1:19.
In the virgin birth; that Jesus was both human and divine. God manifest in the flesh. St. Matt. 1:23; I Tim. 3:16.
In the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. We believe that He ascended on high and has sent His Spirit, the Holy Ghost, which was poured out at Jerusalem over 2000 years ago, and is still filling the hearts of those who diligently seek Him today. Acts 2:14.
In the baptism in the water by immersion, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. This constitutes the new birth. Acts 2:4,38.
