Summary
After his duty at the front, Erich Hohlstein served on the staff of the BdU (2. SKL, BdU op). After the war Erich Hohlstein served some years in the Bundesmarine. He was among other positions the first commander of the frigate Scharnhorst before he retired in 1966. He died on 12 April 1974 in Axstedt near Bremen.
