Kopycat Kahlua

7 cups water
3 cups sugar
10 tablespoons instant coffee crystals
1 vanilla bean (optional)
.
While stirring, bring ingredients to a boil. Reduce heat and slowly
simmer for
2 ½ hours. Cover, then cool overnight.

Add:
1 liter bottle of vodka
.
Transfer to bottles. Serve to taste with milk, ½ & ½,
or coffee. Make
a double
batch, you'll be glad you did!
