| Messianic Pesach Seder: {abridged Passover Service} . Brechat Haner, Kindling Of Holy Day Candles: {found in Erev Shabbat home service; but, substitute "festival/[yom tov]" for the word "Shabbat"]. . Kiddush, First Cup: The Cup Of Blessing: Baruch Atah YHVH, Elohanu Melech ha-olam borae pree hagafen. Blessed art Thou, YHVH our God, King of the universe, Who creates the fruit of the vine. . Urchatz, Washing Of The Hands: Wash your hands but do not say the blessing. . Karpas, Dipping Of The Parsley: {the head of the house takes some parsley or chervil, dips it into saltwater, and distributes it to all present saying...} Blessed art Thou, YHVH our God, King of the universe, Creator of the fruits of the earth. . Yachutz, Breaking Of The Middle Matzah: {then he takes the middle Matzah and breaks it in two, leaves one half between the two whole ones and puts the other half under the cloth for the "Afikomen".} . Maggid, The Story Of Passover: {he then elevates the dish containing the matzahs, and all at the table take hold thereof and say...} This is the bread of affliction which our ancestors ate in the land of Egypt; let all those who are hungry, enter and eat thereof; and all who are in distress, come and celebrate the Passover. At present we celebrate it here, but next year we hope to celebrate it in the land of Israel. This year we are servants here, but next year we hope to be freemen in the land of Israel. . Ma-Nishtanah, The Four Questions: {fill the cups with wine the second time. The youngest present then asks The Four Questions...} Wherefore is this night distinguished from all other nights? Any other night we may eat either unleavened or leavened bread, but on this night only unleavened bread; all other nights we may eat any species of herbs, but this night only bitter herbs; all other nights we do not dip even once, but on this night twice; all other nights we eat and drink either sitting or reclined, but on this night we all of us recline. . Makkot, The Second Cup: The Cup Of Plagues: These are the ten plagues, which the Most Holy, blessed be He, brought on the Egyptians in Egypt: {As each of the 10 plagues is read, a drop of wine is poured from the cup.} BLOOD FLIES VERMIN FROGS PESTILENCE BOILS HAIL LOCUSTS DARKNESS SLAYING OF THE FIRST BORN . READ: EXODUS 12:1-14. . DAYENU {We would have been satisfied}{everyone joins in singing of Dayenu} . If He had merely rescued us from Egypt, but had not punished the Egyptians. DAYENU If He had merely punished the Egyptians, but had not destroyed their gods. DAYENU If He had merely destroyed their gods, but had not slain their first born. DAYENU If He had merely slain their first born, but had not given us their property. DAYENU If He had merely given us their property, but had not split the sea for us. DAYENU If He had merely split the sea for us, but had not brought us through on dry ground. DAYENU If He had merely brought us through on dry ground, but had not drowned our oppressors. DAYENU If He had merely drowned our oppressors, but had not supplied us in the desert for forty years. DAYENU If He had merely supplied us in the desert for forty years, but had not fed us with manna. DAYENU If He had merely fed us with manna, but had not given us the Shabbat. DAYENU If He had merely given us the Shabbat, but had not brought us to Mount Sinai. DAYENU If He had merely brought us to Mount Sinai, but had not given us the Torah. DAYENU If He had merely given us the Torah, but had not brought us to the land of Israel. DAYENU If He had merely brought us to the land of Israel, but had not built us the Temple. DAYENU We would have been satisfied, it would have been enough. . THE HALLEL, The Praise: {Psalms 113-114, responsive reading} . Truly, we can say Hallelujah for the great redemption which Elohim has wrought on our behalf; redemption at a terrific price; in Egypt, the death of the firstborn. Redemption from sin, by the death of Elohim's Son. "For Elohim so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." . HAMOTSI-{found in Erev Shabbat home Service} Blessed art Thou, O Lord our God, that bringeth forth Bread from the earth. HALLEL, The Fourth Cup: The Cup Of Praise: {fill fourth cup and recite: Psalms 118, responsive reading:} LEADER: YHVH hath remembered us, He will bless us, He will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless those who revere YHVH, the small as well as the great: May YHVH increase you, more and more, you and your children. Ye are blessed of YHVH, the Maker of heaven and earth. The heavens are the heavens of YHVH, but the earth hath He given to the children of men. The dead praise not YHVH, nor they who descend into the silent grave. But we will bless YHVH, from henceforth until evermore. HalleluYAH. ALL: Praise YHVH, all ye nations; praise Him, all ye people; For His mercy prevaileth over us, and the Truth of the Lord endureth forever. HalleluYAH. . LEADER-Ps. 118-21-24, ALL-Ps. 118:26-27, LEADER-Ps. 118:28-29. The Leader Of The Seder Continues: . Blessed art Thou, O YHVH our God, King of the universe, for the wine, and for the fruit of the vine, and for the produce of the field, and for that desirable, good and spacious land which Thou granted our ancestors to inherit, to eat of its fruit, and be satisfied with its goodness. Have compassion, O YHVH, our God, upon us, on Israel Thy people, upon Jerusalem, Thy city, on Zion, the residence of Thy glory, and upon the altar and Thy Temple; rebuild Jerusalem, Thy holy city, speedily in our days. For all these things we thank You, in the Name of Your Son Yeshua the Messiah - and all would say Amen. . {ALL SAY...} NEXT YEAR IN [NEW] JERUSALEM! . Singing Of Various Songs: . {Concerning this part of the service, it is written: AND WHEN THEY HAD SUNG A HYMN, THEY WENT OUT UNTO THE MOUNT OF OLIVES. [Especially before Communion if you'd like]. The bitter-herbs are horse-radish. You will also need parsley, and Charoseth {which is an apple/honey/nut mixture ground up}, A bone of a lamb-leg represents the lamb that was offered. This last can be on the center of the table to be explained only, [not eaten of course]. During the Passover meal, simply serve a meal, [but please no ham, Oy! :-) And hopefully that briefly should do it. Sorry for the lack of information on specifics. And parts of this are 4,000 years old, and most of it over 2,000 years old. Shalom shalom. |
