While many of us have heard these things already, because of the frequency of times that we've heard them some of us have become become either complacent, or worse - even completely skeptical of how current events could possibly be intersected by Biblical prophecy. But if what is happening now had happened say - on Dec. 31st 1999, or Rosh HaShannah 2000, or about any time in the past - we'd be quite a bit more in prayer about the things that are coming upon this earth. But as it is, some have experienced the "frog in the pot" syndrome. Not that there is anything inherently wrong however with having a certain type of reservation to events - that is as long as one is sincerely praying for and desiring YHVH Elohim/God's will, and has/is committing ones' life to Him, knowing that His will is perfect, both for your life and on earth as it is in Heaven.

But certain attitudes of complacency are also mentioned in Scripture as affecting, even those who are named as "Believers" in the end times. So let's look at some of these attitudes, and see where ours lay, either in complacency, or else in quiet hope....

Besides Mt 24:48, and Lk. 12:45 where we see: "that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming"; other verses also show a bad attitude....

Zeph.1:12 And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, YHVH will not do good, neither will he do evil.
2Pet. 3:3-4 � Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

But then, seeing the good attitudes in these Scriptures below....

Hab 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Tit 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Yeshua Messiah;

So... shouldn't we be saying: We want Mashiach now! But why then do some people seek to "delay" the 'end times'?, or at least even as others simply refuse to acknowledge that it may be upon us? There are perhaps several reasons for this....

       1. It can't happen now, because I'm still here. - Or with those who believe that since it might be a "pre-rapture" they will be spared any type of pain whatsoever. But they have ignored the Scripture on the beginning of birth-pangs, and that points to gog/magog being before the "tribulation" even begins, or else ignored the persecution of Believers in many other countries even today.

       2. A.B.or C. has to happen first. Again, this is faulty dogma. A.B.or C. has to happen before what?! - Before the beginning of sorrows?, before gog/magog?. Hind-sight is 20/20 - and unless you are getting something truly prophetically, by the time you see what you think has to happen first, it's already occurred. Lu 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. Mt 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. - And in the Greek the phrase is literally more of the sense of - begins to appear/arise, presents itself at the door as though to pass. No, no man knows the day nor the hour, but we do/can know the times and the season... Mt.16:3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

        3. I have things I still feel led to do for YHVH, even long range plans. Good! - Even if we were sure that He was coming tomorrow, we are to occupy till He comes. Scripture tells us that when that Day{s} comes people will be buying and selling, marrying and given in marriage. And if HaMashiach should come in the middle of your plans - it doesn't necessarily mean that He didn't give you those plans, - how do you know that just your moving out in Faith wasn't itself the main part of His plan, or that the start of a matter brings fruit, even as does the completion of a matter.

        4. I have personal-goals, things to do, places to go, people to meet.... Selfish reason - I'm not even going to address that -cause I think most people can see though that type of reasoning within their heart already - heck, even logically. Isn't the greatest joy in the mundane less that the least joy in the Heavenly?!

        5. I'm afraid.   Invalid and valid. Even though Scripture tells us: Zeph.1:15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, yet we are told: Zeph.2:3 Seek ye YHVH, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought His judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of YHVH�s anger. YHVH loves His people! So... since perfect love casts out fear, all those who are in Him and yet fear need to be perfected in His love. But if you are NOT in Him - then yes: "I'm afraid" is a completely valid fear. And there is ONLY one way to have true Peace/Shalom in your life. - Accept Yeshua Messiah into your heart now!

         6. The USA is too strong to be overtaken or even invaded. Well... let's not mention all the once mighty nations that thought and said just exactly that same thing: Rome, ancient Babylon, Nineveh, Nazi Germany, etc.... The big problem is that it is that very attitude and statement that is one of the main causes of a nation being overthrown! Jer.51:53 Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from Me shall spoilers come unto her, saith YHVH. Now all we seem to hear lately is: God bless America - when what we should be hearing is: America bless God!

         7. All these things take a long time to develop, we'll see them coming way before they get here. Wrong! I'll just trust for the moment you can reflect on all the verses that talk about these things coming upon the earth: suddenly, in a day, in an hour, when you think not, when they say 'peace and safety', etc....

I'm sure there are many more reasons/excuses that people either don't think things could happen, or don't want them to happen just yet, or every couple of years say: that they think it will be a couple of more years, and yes - it "could" be some time off yet {YHVH knows} - BUT - just think for a second where we are at this very moment!....

All the nations have turned against Israel and Jerusalem, even the USA that defends Israel! The USA introduced not that long ago one of the worse resolutions in the UN against Israel, and specifically against Jerusalem! And we are just days/week from enforcing the "road-map" to hell on Israel - in COMPLETE violation of Scripture, and mentioned by HaShem as one of the very reasons that judgment begins against the nations in the end-times! - And "we", the USA, are at the head of this anti-Biblical "quartet"!

Zep.2:8-11 � "I have heard the reproach of Moab, And the insults of the people of Ammon, With which they have reproached My people, And made arrogant threats against their borders. Therefore, as I live," Says the YHVH of hosts, the Elohim of Israel, "Surely Moab shall be like Sodom, And the people of Ammon like Gomorrah�Overrun with weeds and saltpits, And a perpetual desolation. The residue of My people shall plunder them, And the remnant of My people shall possess them." This they shall have for their pride, Because they have reproached and made arrogant threats Against the people of the YHVH of hosts. YHVH will be awesome to them, For He will reduce to nothing all the gods of the earth; People shall worship Him, Each one from his place, Indeed all the shores of the nations.
Zec 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

Stop and think about the above - [Sure - maybe we're not Babylon the great whore - or maybe we're the 1st seal of the white horse that went forth conquering and to conquer - perhaps it's partially a matter of intercession - YHVH knows!] - but think also on the following, people!....

We're attacking ancient Babylon, we're now daily talking about attacking Syria [Isa 17:1] and Iran-[the rest of ancient Babylon], Russia is ticked off, not to mention N. Korea and China - but we don't think much about it because we took over a bombed out nation that didn't even have an air-force in three weeks. It's almost like we can hear every day: Rev.13:4c ,,,who is able to make war with him? {BUT - We one wouldn't want the first half of that verse to come to pass on this nation!} We hear the attitude of: nothing's going to happen - we're too strong, we're too, we're.... Yet all the while: abortion has murdered more children in this country than Canada's entire population, homosexuality is ever increasing before both our and our children's faces, blaspheme is sanctioned, speaking God's Word is legislated against, and a whole plethora of sins are daily increasing in violation of YHVH Elohim's Holy Torah! - And many of the rest of the nations are even worse! Yet, we still hear it said: Nothing will happen because we're under Grace -or- God wouldn't have judged Sodom if they'd only had 10 righteous people there. - Yet all the while ignoring Scripture which says: 1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel/Good-News of God? -or- Jer 15:1 Then said YHVH unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before Me, yet My mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of My sight, and let them go forth.

What am I saying then? - Everything will happen in YHVH's timing - but we have a place, as even did Esther/Hadassah in God's plan. - For Yeshua Messiah told us: Mt.24:20-21 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Shabbat day:
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. - By this we can know that the severity of judgment is partially dependent upon YHVH's answers to our prayers - but if one slides into the Mary Poppins dogma of "kay-sah-raw-sah-raw"... then perhaps ones lot would become as Mordecai said to Esther/Hadassah Es 4:14a For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father�s house shall be destroyed: But rather our response should be as hers was, for truly: Es 4:14b ...and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

Do I know the day and hour - no. But I believe it is the time and season. If He tarry will I wait for Him - yes. But if the scenario begins now - that means that it's one day close to His coming. And so if it begins today - I'll be happier than if it begins tomorrow!.
