Twyla and Shaolin were born on July 7th , 1998 at 11:02pm and 11:04pm.. only one hour short of making to my moms birthday..who also happens to be a twin. 

This pregnancy was pretty cool... my first so everything was new to me, we found out pretty early on that I was having twins.. man was I shocked.. juss got use to the fact that I was going to be a mommy.. I remember thinking.."Ok I can do this... alot of people have kids .. I can do this".. then we go for my first ultrasound.. the technician doesn't tell me a thing but I did notice her taking double measuremeants but all this being new to me I juss figured she made a mistake and had to re-do them... well after all that..she went out and got my mom, brought my mom into the room and said... well they are fine.. THEY WE SAID.. yes your having twins.. I was in shock!! Oh My God.. how did that happen?? Well as I was getting dressed ,  I looked into the mirror.. and thats when the tears began to fall... " Oh My God.. How am I gonna do this now... I cant do this .. not two of them.. Oh My God.."  then the ride home was real fun... crying.. happy...scared... shocked... after talking to my mom.. it came clear... YEAH I CAN DO THIS... .. I would never have been able to do this without my mom though.. she was my lifesaver... any mom that deserves an award.. she is the one!!   THANKS MOM!!  Also a big thanks to my cousin Sarina.. she was there for me too after the girls came home from the hospital,  as my mom was out of town during the week for the first few months.

Now the girls are 5 years old and happy as can be being the big sisters to Laniya... they are big girls now.. in big school.. started in September they are loving it... learning more and more... some of their favorite things are .. jumping on trampolines , swimming, watching their favorite shows on treehouse and watching their favorite movies which include : Fast and Furious, Eight legged freaks, Shrek, Charlies Angels

A couple of nicknames the girls have gotten over the years are of course.." The Twins"  and Yes we still get asked.. as they walk in the mall dressed EXACTLY the same.. ARE THEY TWINS.. like.. helloooo take a look at them.. wherez your SIGN!!  anyhooo..  Twyla has the initials... TYKA .. or there is  Twylige or Twylie... and then from their great uncle brian.. Twyla/Shaolin... only cuz he cant really tell them apart.. lol.. Shaolin  (which is pronounced Shay-lynn).. hers are.. initials.. SISA or  Shay or  Shay-Shay, and for both... they are MY MINI ME'S
