Why is the child on the street?
-His mother's salary cannot provide for the whole family, so he raises money to help his mother and family.
-He is having one-two meals a day.
-He enjoys being in the street, because of the money he is given.

Why has he stopped school?
-He stopped school in Grade 3 in 1998 at Nkwazi Primary School, due to lack of sponsorship.
-His dad left for Lusaka in 1987 to do bbusiness and never came back.
-His mother works for Care Internation aand makes bricks.  The money she earns is too little to send her children to school, provide meals and buy clothes.

Problems faced in the street.
-He is forced to steal, drink and smoke by bigger boys.
-Is is being beaten up when he refuses tto do big boys favours
-He is chased when begging.
-He cannot complain when given heavy gooods to carry, even though he knows it is child labour.

What does he want to do and be?
-He wants to go back to school and help his family.
-To be a role model to fellow street kidds who feel school is 'nothing'.

Why is the child on the street?
-To raise money.
-When his parents divorced, his father lleft him with his mother.  She couldn't afford to pay for his school fees.  She has no job and depends on her children.
-Life on the streets became tough as he was trying to raise money for his school fees.  Things did not go as expected, so he decided not to go back to school and adopted street life.

Why has he stopped school?

-He stopped school when his parents divorced and was under his mothers care who couldn't afford to pay for his school fees.

-He stopped school in Grade 5 at Chiwala and Kalewa Primary School in 1999.

Problems faced in the street.
-Peer pressure.
-Being insulted by older people.
> -Chased at night by guards.
-Being introduced to bad habits such as smoking, beer drinking.  If he refuses to do these things, then they are not allowed to beg or spent a night in town (from the elder boys).
-Working without being given money.

What does he want to do and be?
He wants to go back to school and become a respected person in the community.
-Help his family, especially his mother who is struggling to find money.
