LOCAL & LIVE, from ONE EYED JACK. Live recordings from local performances at the Tractor in Ballard and Waldo's in Kirkland, in October and December of '01. This CD is our 4th recording project and captures the essence and energy of our live shows. The songs on this CD represent a comfortable niche on the fringe of the "pop/rock" category that we feel we occupy alone in the current live music market locally. These tunes are very honest, watercolored stories about the frustrations faced by all in our daily struggle to make sense of the human condition. The music blends the styles of Dave Matthews, Bruce Springsteen and a little Tom Petty, and wraps it all in a listener friendly package that gets it's message across without depressing anybody. We are not a hard rock band, but are edgier(is that a word?) than most current top ten corporate rock formula bands. We like to think it's a "GOLDILOCKS" style, not too hard, but not too soft, we're jussssst right!! You gotta buy it to try it...if you don't enjoy at least two of these songs, and find yourself humming the tune during the day at some point, then we will buy it back with no questions asked.
