| 10/12/07 We had our first race of the year at Hamilton on Saturday night. In the first heat we finished 8th. In the second heat we finished 5th which was very pleasing. The 3rd heat we finished 7th. We finished 8th in the final. The car ran well and we were very happy with our first outing for the year .Except for clipping the fence and losing the muffler in the first heat we had a troublefree night. We look forward to returning to Hamilton later in the year for the state title. |
| 26/12/07 Our 2nd race of the year was at Darlington on the 15/12/07.We started rear of field (8th) in all of the races and finished 6th in the 1st heat, 5th in the 2nd heat and 7th in the final heat. We started 8th in final and after many stoppages and restarts we finished 5th. We moved forward in all our races and managed to stay out of trouble all night so this would rate as one of our best night of racing. We now look forward to our next meeting hoping our good form/luck continues. |
| 19/1/08 We went to Laang to race in the latest round of the Tri series. In our three heats we started 4th, 3rd, and 1st and then backed our way to sixth in each heat. We started 10th in the final and finished 10th. We had handling problems and throughout the night we made changes but we didn't seem to improve. I had an ordinary night as driver and hopfully we can sort out the problems before next meeting. We were disappionted with our night after such a good night at Darlington. |
| 10/2/08 We raced at Stawell on 2/2/08. In the first heat we started 8th and finished 5th. The second heat we started 7th and finished 4th. The third heat we started 7th and was battling for 3rd on the last corner when the front axle broke putting us out for the rest of the night. We were very happy with our performance (4th in a heat equals our best result) but a little disappointed we couldn't make the feature. |
| 9/3/08 We raced at Horsham on the 23/2. We fitted a new front axle after Stawell and it had different steering setup to the old axle. In the heats we finish 8th, 7th and 6th. The car was very ordinary to drive in the first heat and we made a lot of changes throughout the night (mostly to the new frontend) and by feature it was handling a lot better. We started rear in the feature and made up a couple of spots by mid race when I half spun and went to the rear of the field. With a couple of laps left I felt something break in the frontend and I lost brakes but we finished. Back in the pits we found the front brake caliper broken off and the disc smashed.We learnt a lot about the car and feel we had made improvements even if the results didn't show this. Our next meeting is the state title at Hamilton on the 29/03/08 |
| Our next race was on 19/4/08 and the last round of the Tri series. We finished towards the rear in our first 2 heats and in the third heat the motor failed although we were able to finish the race. |
| We raced at Stawell on 24/05/08. We fitted a new bottom end in the motor and it seemed to run well. We finished 4th in the first heat and 3rd in the second. We broke the lefthand axle in the third heat. We replaced the axle but we just rolled around the top in the final because the axle seal was leaking. |
| 9/06/08 We raced at Horsham over the weekend.On Saturday we had 3 heats in which we finished 8th, 10th and 2nd. Our final heat on Sunday we finished 10th after the motor shut down with 1 corner left. That quailified us 12th out of 22cars. In the final we were running 11th until we were sent rear of field at a stoppage. We then worked our way to 12th by race end. We don't know why we were sent ROF but overall we were very happy with our results. This ends our season as the state title was postponed to next season after 2 rainouts. |
