Skinning Tutorial
Step One: Download Jasc Paint Shop Pro from http://www.download.com and install it.

Step Two: Click open, and go to the directory C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\ Game Data\Skins\ and find the skin you want to re-make.

Step Three: (Optional)  Chances are, the skin will be in 256 color mode, so go to Colors, Increase Color Depth, and click 16 Million Colors (24 bit)
this will give you all of the colors.

Step Four: (If you did step 3, read this, if not, skip this)
When you are done, go up to Colors, Decrease Color Mode, and click 256 color mode, (16 bit) This will change it back to when you started, leaving you with only the colors on your skin. If you do step three, but ignore this step, your skin will show up pure white in the game.

Step Five: When you are done, go to File, Save As, then, save it as a different name, like, if it's called pooch, name it pooch2, or something else, because if you leave the name the way it is, it will replace the new file with the old file. Although, if you accidently do that, don't fret, you will receice a warning asking you if you would like to replace the file.

Step Six: You are done with your first skin! Congratulations, and may you have fun in the future! Please come back to MaxSimus Sims for all of your simming needs.
