| SimShow Tutorial |
| Step One: After you download SimShow, go to WindowsExplorer, or just hit E+Windows Key, and it will come up. Go to C:\ProgramFiles\Maxis\SimShow\ and click on the SimShow icon. Step Two: You will see a start screen, which shows a man in a red shirt in three different locations on the start screen. Step Three: The rest is pretty self-explanatory. You can choose from light, medium, or dark skin tone, male or female, adult or child, but not too many skins or heads. Step Four: When you have created a skin from a mesh in the directory C:\ProgramFiles\Maxis\SimShow\GameData\Textures\ save it as another name in that directory. Example: Let's say the file is named B001FCChdlgt_girl02, name it B001FCChdlgt_girl020, because if you don't change the name, it will totally replace the old file. You could also name it something descritpive, like B001FCChdlgt_pinkgirl, or something that dexcribes the skin you made. Step Five: When you are done making your skin, go to SimShow and run it, if you already have it running, dis-reguard this step. Step Six (for those of you who never closed it) Now, go to the left hand side of SimShow, and click the button that says "Reload" and it will load your skin into SimShow for you to use. Sometimes it crashes, but if it does, just open up SimShow again and it will work. Congratulations, you have just learned how to use SimShow in six easy steps, thank-you for visiting MaxSIMus Sims, and please, keep us in mind for all of your simming needs. |
