The Ol' Man's Home

Fairly simple game.  You need to make a couple of free standing frames with an openeing about 4 feet square and the bottom of the open should be about 30" off the ground.  Mark off a twenty yard  by twenty yard track with a line down the middle.

It works fairly well to make your window frames out of pieces of pvc pipe and fittings.  There is no need to glue them together.  The friction should be adequate to hold them together.

Set your "window" frames at one end of the track on the line.  Behind the line place an old flat mattress or exercise pad to simulate a mattress near each window.  On the track side of the line have your contestants park their bikes with the ignition turned off.  Those that require a key can leave the key in the ignition.

Lay an old pair of overalls with stretch suspenders.  On the edge of each mattress.  3x size overalls is best.  That way most contestants can fit into them.

Here goes the game.  Each rider takes off thier boots and sets them next to the mattress.  I reccomend that you don't allow flip flops or slippers for this game.  Then a young lady gets on the microphone or yells, "OH NO!  MY OL' MAN'S HOME."  The contestants then jump up and put on the coveralls, then their boots.  They don't have to tie the laces, but they do have to put their boots on.  Then they jump through the window, start their bike and ride across the finish line.  If your bike doesn't start its ok to push it.  I've seen a winner who could not get it started do this.
