Now how did this great epic come to exist?
It started a long while back, when I saw the Craft for the second time back in 2000 or 1999. I began writing the Witch on my native language, Finnish, and created the plot for the first two parts. Boy was it epic. It was like the kids of Sweet Valley High having a high school reunion and slitting their wrists at the same time. Teenage drama.
Yet there were hott immortal dudes and powerful elements I loved in it so I kept on developing the thought year after year. New movies offered new inspiration and dark sceneries and I began growing more into the butterfly I am today. Deftones, Evanescence, Marilyn Manson, Nightwish and such took over soft pop and well... I'm pretty sure that the reason the Witch looks the way it is today is because of my initiation to english fan fiction and later on HR-fiction, which is half original.
So what lies ahead for a plot that's been thought through for around 5 years now? I have no idea. Susan has changed and so has her relationship with Joaquin, Damien and the others. There's a more tragic element on the move here and the later chapters written in the small hours of dark and depression will probably be the reason why I chose to make the rating R. Well that and foreplay with nipplerings. *rolls eyes*
There's nothing to be ashamed of here, but I must warn you. I have a twisted mind and after my reality was shocked by The Cell there was no going back. If swallowing a snake was much, then this might not be your thing.
And to answer why Susan is so angsty that you want to throw her out of the window comes from...
"If he is plain, dull, and boring, he'll be more extraordinary in his plainess, dullness, and boringness than his real life counterparts."
- James N. Frey, How to Write a Damn Good Novel
And why do I enjoy dark, angsty, sick stuff? Cause quite frankly I can get the latest action film for 2 down from the kiosk if I wanna see happy endings. Now if I wanne see something strange and something that maybe not be so much about good versus evil, but more of a semi-evil versus evil or evil versus... ok I think I got confused there... anyways...
Thee hee. Me gone now.
