Here are pics of a home brew adapter to run a carb on the 2.9 and I developed this to run a fresh 2.9 in a Ranger formerly a carbed 2.8. I am not ready to do the fuel conversion, but needed a fresh engine. It is essentially a replacement upper plenium, but mounts a carb. This one is mild steel, but I will revamp it as an aluminum piece shortly. It currently, with a low profile air cleaner, sits about 1.5 inches taller that the old plenium.
