| An Internet Messenger from Yahoo! It's got an online radio feature (called launchcast). Users can listen to music (and also commercials) on the web, just like normal radio, but here they can "skip" songs that they don't like. The online radio feature is free, but there's a certain number of 'high quality' songs a user can listen to in a given month, and also a certain number of "skips" s/he can do. Subscribing to the service (US$3 per month) gives a user unlimited number of 'high quality' songs, unlimited "skipping" and also, commercial free. :) Another new business model? |
