I have decided that the youth of our nation is doomed to stupidity. And ignorance. Have you ever looked around a school to find the bubble of utter self-absorption surrounding every single student? The shallowness that fills the halls is almost beyond description. Everyone is complaining about some superficial thing or another. "Some girl said this to me.." or "so-and-so totally blew me off.." or "can you believe that guy in the hallway? he was totally like, ugh, and I was totally like, get away from me!" How can people live in such a state of ignorance to the world surrounding them? Can they actually be that shallow and oblivious to the fact that there are actually people with real problems? Has our society really succeeded in creating a new generation of brainless drones? Is it society's fault? Is it T.V.? Technology? Evil internet... or is it us? the teenagers, Maybe we're to blame. For being too lazy to look outside our bubble of selfishness. We are thus doomed to stupidity. Because of ignorance.Because of laziness. |
