After my birthday party a few of my friends and I went to Corner Pocket and then after, my friend Shaun and I went to Moxies. Which was all fine and dandy. This ramble is not about that, it's about when I came home. Anyway. My mom and I are staying in this basement suite right? Because we had to be out of our house already, so whatever, that's weird, but whatever. So I get back to this place and I am about 7 to 10 minutes late, which is okay, and I walk up the walkway thing and go around walking on the sidewalk beside the house to go in the back door. Anyway, then there is this rustling in the bushes like in the flower bed, just like out of the movies or soap operas, you know? Like the very cheezy, fake rustling, it was exactly like that. And then this skunk, hobbles out from the bushes. It's like a baby skunk, about the size my dog used to be, maybe six inches, seven inches, (my dog weighed 3 pounds so you can use that to help visualize). So yes. little skunk, looks at me, turns around and scampers back into the flower bed and I am thinking. That was a skunk. Get out of here. So I back away and phone my mom because I am like, how am I going to get into the house with this skunk in my way. My mom tells me to get into my car so that it doesn't spray me, she doesn't want me walking anywhere. And then I drive my car and squeeze in beside her car on the cement pad behind the house in front of the garage. It was funny, she's at the backdoor peering out and we're both still talking to each other on our cell phones. Lol. Even though we could see each other, I look at her and I'm like, "I'm going to hang up now". Lol, then I make a break for the house. Made it, it was all good. But seriously that skunk was right in front of me, it was like two feet away. It was crazy. I have now seen a real live skunk. It was very cute. But I wasn't about to try and pet it! Yeah, and it was stinky all around there, again this morning too. But I can't imagine what it would have been like if it would have sprayed me. Ike. I don't know what I would have done, like where I could have gone! Mano, mano. I wonder if skunks like flowers, cuz it was in the flower bed. And on Bambi the skunk- Flower liked flowers right? Crazy. Little skunk, right there right in front of me. |
