Day 5: OCD/Arts

This morning we had an OCD breakfast in the Bombshelter. I didnt really have too much because I had already eaten. I sat with Katie and chatted with her. After that we headed over to the atrium and convened in groups, cheering a stuff. Then we split our groups up and part of the group had to make a pretty portrait thing for points, part of the team had to build the tallest free-standing toothpick tower for points, part of the team played risk for points and the rest of the team did a campus photo hunt where we got more points for creative shots and for have FOC leaders in the shots and stuff. It was so incredibly much fun. We had one of us all in some guys dorm, one in a bathroom with the girls at the urinals, one where we all spelled out RANDOM with our bodies on a hill, one of us all reading the campus newspaper that said FROSH WEEK FOR DUMMIES on it, and we found a chair along the way, so we worked the chair into every one of our pictures from then on, but no one was ever allowed to sit in it. Yeah, it was sweet. After that we all reconvened and you could go to the carnival on the Village Green or join in the game of ultimate Frisbee. I got some ice cream with Kate, Jenny, Lia and Aaron and then we headed over to the carnival. It was cool but there were loooong line-ups for everything. There were some cheerleaders doing demonstrations and there was inflatable stuff and a giant slip and slide and a stage with a talent show going on, there was also free sno-cones and cotton candy, and burgers and hot dogs. The OCD leaders had a kissing booth (where they gave away Hershey kisses). We signed each others shirts and Tom (one of our B&E leaders) gave me his hamburger. After that I hung out with Justin (from the circle at the bonfire) and Mandy, whom I had just met. We watched the talent show a little and then got sno-cones and watched it some more. Then we walked back to the atrium where we had closing ceremonies for the OCD frosh week. They drew completed people bingo sheets from the first day for prizes ranging from an umbrella to a shower head to a dvd player to a 13 tv/vcr. They also had each set of team leaders pick one frosh from their team as the Superfrosh. I won for the B&E! So I got to keep our flag and I also got a mug and a really cool phone. Our flag rocks. Im going to try to take a picture of it and post it. Tom won for the leader award (we all voted at breakfast for who we thought the best leader was). Which was sweet! Aaaannnnnd- Bert and Ernie won for over-all!!!! So that was sweet, we won the trophy which has a chicken at the top and a horses butt at the bottom, yeah, it was interesting. We were very excited.

Then I went back home for a little while and got ready for Blacklight night for Arts. We went at 7 and worked on our skit which was a nightmare, but hey whatever. We managed to pull something together and then we went to Fed Hall where they had a stick up their butt. But that was ok. We danced, and wrote on each other with highlighters, which was super fun. I hung out with Kerrianne for most of the night. She was on my team and stuff. Then each team presented their skit. We were the last to go and it started off quite sloppy but in the end everyone seemed to like it. And we got everyone doing the Arts gets a little bit rowdy cheer at the end and that was fun.

Apparently red won for their skit which I thought was an outrage because they were putting down all the other groups in it and you are supposed to lose marks for that. They also had some guy come up and rap at the very end, putting down all the other groups again, but no one noticed as much because they werent really listening to what he was saying they just heard their colour and cheered. It was dumb. It was supposed to be only the frosh so I dont know how they got away with this guy. Man, yeah, I wasnt the hugest fan of the red team they were pretty arrogant and self-involved generally. Anyway, after that they totalled up the scores and Blue won!!!! So both of my teams won! It was sweet. So we won the Wild Bore trophy.

Then everyone kept dancing and lots of people left. I left at around 12:45 I think.
