Today I had to write the English Language Proficiency Exam. Anyone who receives a mark of 80% or higher in the Ontario OAC English or 4U English doesn�t have to write the exam. Unfortunately for me, being out of province, it didn�t matter what mark I received in English (96) and my 6 in English IB counted for nothing� So it was just a really dumb mini essay type thing. You pick one of two stupid subjects to write on and you have 50 minutes to complete the exam. It is supposed to be 300-500 words I believe. I think my essay was alright. It�s a pride thing for me, being an English nerd, so if I don�t get 100% I�ll be disappointed. Well, I might be ok with 95%, but honestly- they couldn�t take the IB mark? Franchement, l�.
Alright, so that test was at 11:00 a.m. and then I went home for a while. I went back to the university at 5 or 6 I believe for an Arts barbeque. I brought along my cowboy hat and stick horse that my mom made me when I was 5 to like support our country team. The leaders loved the horse and named it Blossom. They had made one before named Blueberry, which was our team mascot so now we had two. Tonight was the Scavenger Hunt and some other stuff. There was death karaoke too which was hilarious, the person singing has headphones on and they are the only one who can hear the music, the rest of the audience only hears them and it was supposed to be as bad as you could make it. I didn�t sing anything and I didn�t really get to watch it. Meh. There was also the superfrosh competition. I got to be one of the superfrosh reps from my team and each team had to give a little spiel and then we all voted for different teams. Red won. We won the scavenger hunt though. Myself and Monika (cool girl I met) went to my house and brought back a whole bunch of stuff including my plane ticket to Europe, my metro stub from Paris and my Michael Jackson CD. So we got a few points for the team. We had like a fat bag of stuff.
Anyway, we just kind of left after the scavenger hunt. I don�t know, it wasn�t my favourite just because when we got back from my house there were so many people squished everywhere and it was so noisy and chaotic.
