I'm not yet married, but I've found that having to support my children has made me a stronger person. I have been blessed by a loving family and loving friends who have only my best interest at heart. I've had several special people in my life that I can actually call friends. The two people that I love the most (other than my family :-)) are Chirvona and McAfee. They are both singers and songwriters, as am I. When the three of us established our friendship it became unlike that of any one we'd ever had. It seems that we all have our own unique and special gift that we add to the relationship to make the bond as strong and stable as it is. I'm the sweet one. *Laugh* A little more mentally grounded (Sometimes). A little more laid back then the other two as well as the mid point of communication. They call me to find each other. Chirvona is the life, always keeping us laughing as well as keepin' me up on the latest fashion....that girl can dress! I have so much love and respect for her because she is the mother of 4 and she just does her thing. She has so many talents as singing, writing, painting, carpentry....*L* That girl can do EVERYTHING! McAfee, is the daddy, the big brother, the ever-present protector who will cuss you out then give you a hug*L*.....and that brother can bring tears to your eyes with a song....(Crazy Over You) He definitely has got it goin' on, producing tracks for several international artists, as well as touring on his own over in Europe. I tell you, I'm just glad to know them and be their friend. :)
I have several other friends that my life just wouldn't be the same without, such as Mr. David Brian Williams and poet with a gift, Vareck Self, one of the sweetest guys I've ever had the pleasure of knowing......there are several more I just can't think of them all right now.
I'm originally from Dayton, OH but I spent the majority of my life in Jackson, MS. In September of 1999 I returned to Dayton to live with my father and pursue some personal goals that I'd set for myself. But that didn't last too long because in March of 2002, I came back home to Jackson, Flowood, to be exact. I missed my mommy.
My favorite passtime activities are listening to music, any kind and talking on the phone. Ameritech or BellSouth can account for that. *L* On the side I am aspiring to become a singer/songwriter. I've written several songs which are listed on my page of LYRICAL EXPRESSIONS. You will find many of my songs to be very personal and most were written from personal experience. So don't forget to check them out.
When a person first meets me, most of the time they see me as quiet, shy and somewhat as an introvert. However, after getting to know me they find that I'm anything but the way they first perceived me to be. I work most days and attend to my children at night so I really don't GET OUT to meet people too often. But when I do go out, I never have a problem making friends. I like meeting different people from different places. I don't discriminate either when it comes to age or race. Of course I have to admit that when it comes to "THE MEN" I'm partial to my Black Brotha's. *S*

MCAFEE....doesn't need an introduction, but since you probably haven't been graced with his gift I will do so. This young man has definitely got it goin' on. He can sing, he can write, he can play, and he can even dance...*Smile* But don't take my word for it. Check out his site and experience the sensation for yourself. I guarantee, one dose of McAfee, and you won't turn back.
For those of you concerned, it's not about sweating anyone, it's about recognizing a gift given to one and shared with the rest of us. Much love and respect goes to everyone mentioned above. They have all touched my life deeply as well as the lives of others around them.
In my HOME, Jackson, MS the creative energy is almost overwhelming to me. I miss that the most. The Coffee House, EB and Company (Ezra Brown and Lamond aka X-man), Chirvona (My Dog), McAfee, Break of Dawn, C. Leigh McInnis, Jolivette Anderson, Uzoma,.....and the many other poets/musicians that added a whole new chapter to my life. A special love will always remain inside of me for those who loved me first.
Now back to my other friends
IDM Wear is also a name you should be hearing soon. The dream of a Mr. Jaison Ray, a Michigan native, will soon be a household name.
