The average reader won't understand this poem. McAfee is a man that I used to sing with when I was living in Mississippi. When I think of his voice, it puts me in the mind of a Luther Vandross, Will Downing, Brian McKnight, Eric Benet type of vibe. You know the kinda voice that just DOES something to you. This poem was actually inspired by the poem of another friend of mine, Mr. David Brian Williams, called If I Could Hear Some Saxophone. You can find it in his book SIMPLE LOVE, currently available on Amazon.Com. When Mr. Williams performed his poem, he flipped it and said If I Could Hear Some McAfee, and McAfee did his thang in the background. It brought tears to my eyes....so thus was born I Heard Me Some McAfee Last Night. Even though you haven't heard him (YET - because he's comin') just sit back and enjoy the image.

I HEARD ME SOME MCAFEE LAST NIGHT
(by: Ondrea Lewis 1999)

I heard me some McAfee last night
As I laid upon my bed
The sweet sounds of his soulful tongue
Gently caressed my head

I watched the wall
As the candlelight danced
And McAfee told the story
Of a sweet romance

Ooohhhhh Yeahhhhh
Is what came from his lips
And as I closed my eyes I felt you
Lay your hands in the curve of my hips

MmmmmmmHmmmmm Babaaabyyyy

Was the sound of his tone
And ever so gently as you kissed my neck
I let out a moan

I head me some McAfee last night
I know you heard it too
As he crooned his melodic passion
And told you just what to do

Following his guide he showed you how to
Make me go
Crazy Over You

Oooooohhhhh Yeah yeah yeahhhhhhhh

Did you hear what he said?
Listen to his plea
He told you how to be
All I Need

I heard me some McAfee last night
And with concentration on your face
You heard him as he told you
How I should be embraced

See, I heard me some McAfee last night
And this brotha knows his love

With a voice and spirit and soul like his
His message has to come from above

MmmmmmHmmmmm Yeah, yeah, baby..
Treaattt her liiike a laaaadddyyyy.
Just listen..did you hear it?
He just told you how to make love to me
Not to my body
But to my mind
Thats love making that can last a life time

You see whenever I feel the need
For true intimacy
I turn on my radio
And listen to some McAfee

He touches unreachable
Places within
His words like fingers
Caress my skin

I want to feel you deep within
The center of my being
The kind of love making
That will leave my mind ringing

Thats what McAfee does for me
And he lets you in on his secret
You wont have to wonder whos it is
Listen to McAfee and youll know how to keep it
