Mulligatawny Soup Recipe:
A recipe for Mulligatawny soup, a classic Indian recipe, made famous by the
Soup-Nazi episode on Seinfeld.

Note: It is very important to include ALL the ingredients. This soup is a bit
pricey, but well worth the cost and effort!
1 whole chicken
6 chicken bouillon cubes
6 whole allspice
1 onion, chopped
2 tsp. curry powder
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1/8 tsp. mace
1/8 tsp. cumin
1 pkg. baby carrots
1 pkg. celery
28 oz. can of tomatoes, chopped
1 apple, cored, peeled and sliced
1 green pepper cut into strips
2 Tbsp. flour mixed with 2 Tbsp. melted butter
1 bunch fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
1 lb. egg noodles, cooked

Place the first 8 ingredients in a soup pot and fill with water to cover; bring to
boil; reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered, for 2 hours. Remove the chicken
and allow to cool. Remove the meat from the chicken; shred the meat and
return it to the pot. Add the carrots, celery, tomatoes, apple and green pepper
and simmer until tender, about 1 hour. Remove the allspice, if possible. Cook
the flour mixture in a skillet for about 2 minutes. Add to the soup. Boil gently
until thickened. Remove from heat. Add the parsley; stir. To make a more
substantial meal out of this soup, serve over bowls of cooked egg noodles.
