FILIP DEST first came to America on:

on the S.S. H.H. MEIER into N.Y.
and went to ALLENTOWN, LEHIGH CO. PA.
The following year FILIP DEST sent for his eldest son: VINCENT DEST.
Then every couple of years he would send for another child.
FILIP DEST returned to SLOVAKIA after 1903
He returned to America in 1906, with his wife:
ANNA (ZACEK) DEST.
They returned to SLOVAKIA
(which became HUNGARY)after 1908.

made their final trip to America, landing in NEW YORK on:
2 JULY 1923
on the: S. S. MUCHEN
where they joined their son: VINCENT DEST
in LANSFORD, CARBON CO. PA.
FILIP DEST returned to SLOVAKIA (which was then CZECHOSLOVAKIA) in 1927.
His wife ANNA (ZACEK) DEST remained in ALLENTOWN,LEHIGH CO.PA
for 2 more years to care for the children of her daughter ANNA (DEST) VALEK who died young.
