Kansas City Kansas Community College is designated by the Kansas State Department of Education as the GED testing institution for Kansas City, Kansas.  

Residents of Kansas who are 18 years of age or older are eligible. (16 & 17 year olds must have special permission.)

Testing Fee: $68.00           Re-testing Fee: $68.00
Passing the official pretest is required, in Kansas, before taking the actual test. Candidates must register and pay at least 1 week prior to the scheduled test date, providing there are still openings. Space is limited for each session. An applicant must be a resident of Kansas. A valid KS Identification (such as: driver’s license or KS ID card) is required at time of registration and on the date of exam. Cash or checks made payable to Kansas City Kansas Community College are the only acceptable payment methods. The GED pretest will be cancelled if there is not sufficient enrollment.

Every tester must fill out an application to take the exam at least 1 week in advance and pay at the time of registration. Only acceptable form of payment is check, cash or money order. Payment must be made at time of registration. The test dates will be cancelled if there is not sufficient registration for a specific date. Candidates will be notified of cancellations.
