Wigs for Kids is an orgnization that makes human hair wigs for children with permanent hair loss. I have grown my hair for 2 years to donate to Wigs for Kids. Today I got my hair cut!! 19 inches of hair, and due to the thickness, I was told my hair will provide TWO wigs! That makes me very happy!
Here's the guy who cut my hair. His name is Mel, and he works at a local Super Cuts. He agree'd to be photographed. Yep, he's holding my hair, and that was a little freaky! See my "trying to smile, trying not to cry" look?
And the final hair style, very different that what I had before. But two little girls will get long red hair wigs to cover their bald heads, to brush, to wash, and to be normal because of. I have heard it means a great deal to children who have no hair.
