~life as a homeschooling mom of three~ |

| May 2004
Well, my blog didn't start when I wanted it to. I am still working on my LMT program, so that is my focus. However, I am currently homeschooling my son, and this is going well. He is doing so much better now that he is home and not having to cope with a harmful school environment. You really know that what you are doing is good when you take a look at all the school shootings around the country. I just watched PBS last night about a little boy who killed and injured several of his school mates, then killed his parents. Heart breaking. Thank fully, my son doesn't have to deal with that. Imagine, your child's life would never be the same again if he or she experienced that. Jyotsna June 2004 The kids and I recently drove a Honda CR-V. That is the car I want. It holds everything, the kids, my massage table and supplies and a friend. I hope to get this car in the fall. We have really enjoyed the outdoors recently. The weather is beautiful and we could play outside for hours. Monday we spent 5 hours outside, the kids rode their trikes and bikes. Speaking of bikes, Lakshmi and Priya will be turning 4 soon, and I am looking for training wheel bikes for them. Can't wait to suprise them. Ravi has started summer camp, and also is playing baseball. Last night he hit a good ball and ran all around the bases. That was the first time for him to do that in a game. I feel like a baseball freak. All we do is drive from one park to another. I am hoping that my parents and brother and sister and their families decide to go to the beach this summer. We really need a vacation. This summer, I am drying all my clothes outside unless it rains. It is so nice to wear my clothes when they have been flapping in the wind. They seem cleaner too. It is one of my commitments to our environment. I have been recycling or reusing all I can. I wanted to do more. I hope that when we build our house, that we can make it in such a way to protect our environment. I looked at appliances the other day and was surprised to see that many of the appliances are already very inexpensive to operate. Also, we want to get a reel mower to cut our grass with. Yes, we may have to use the gas mower sometimes, but at least most of the time I can cut the grass. And think of all the exercise I can get! **It's hard to get online these days as my computer isn't working at home. I have to use the computers at the library now. That means no new pictures at this time. |
