Farmer's Detroit Wheels Feasts While the Point Leaders Find Famine

Farmer's Detroit Wheels seems bound and determined to get himself out of the rut dug during the first half of the season. Being the only team to use Jeff Gordon's qualifying effort to win the pole at Daytona and then backing it up by being the only other team besides Whacker Racing to select Greg Biffle as a longshot. The selection paid off as the Greg Biffle pick propelled him to a 16 point win over 2nd place Whacker Racing, and a whopping 54 point margin over 3rd place finisher Redneck Racing using Rollover Picks. Farmer's pole win now brings him to within 2 more poles to get himself into the 2004 Bud Shootout. And he is tied for first place with Whacker Racing in wins since The Winston to get himself into the 2004 All Star race, needing only 5 more wins to get in.
Whacker Racing was able to get the full 44 longshot points possible out of Greg Biffle's win to finish 2nd and to over take Dan Jauch for 2nd place in the points standings. I don't think both Jauch brothers have been out of the top 2 in the points standings since they joined the league many moons ago.
On another strange occurrence, Redneck Racing over takes the 4th place position in points from Phil Jauch with Rollover Picks. I don't think that's ever happened in the history of the Pick-6.

Another 4th of July in the books.

With Greg Biffle's win, he is no longer eligible as a longshot. The non-longshot page has been updated.

The Winston Cup drivers come as close as ever to lowly Madison, WI this weekend as they head to the windy city. Qualifying for the Tropicana 400 from Chicago, IL will begin at 3:05 pm CDT on Friday, July 11. It will be televised live on The Speed Channel.
