Dan Jauch made a nice recovery this week after last week's struggle to win the Tropicana 400. Although Whacker Racing had the faith in Tony Stewart during qualifying, Dan Jauch used Stewart in his finish section to help him win the race and help close back up on the points chase. Whacker Racing was able to continue strong from his strong qualifying run on Friday and use his Jimmie Johnson pick on position to get him a 2nd place finish and also close in on that point lead.
Although Redneck Racing hasn't turned in picks in several weeks, you wouldn't think it by looking at the point standings as Phil Jauch and him have been swapping that 4th position for the last couple of weeks. Meanwhile, Farmer's Detroit Wheels continues to reel both of them in after rebounding from his dismal start to the year.
In posting qualifying results from Friday, I missed marking Whacker Racing's longshot pick of Greg Biffle as ineligible. It is correctly marked now in the finish results.

The video of last Saturday night's "Midsummer's Night Scream" at Rockford Speedway is available featuring the COOKING of an ambulance (labeled "Saddam's Escape RV") by the Green Mamba. (The picture above isn't an excerpt from it, just another car burn from the web by the Green Mamba) The video turned out great! But the audio doesn't do justice to the intensity experienced. The whole ground shakes when that thing fires up. I guess the audio input on the camcorder will only allow so much. If you want to watch it, just let me know. Thanks to those of you who watched the Tournament of Destruction video and got it back to me promptly.
Now, those of you familiar with Yanke's Fantasy Football league, after watching what happens to that ambulance, that's what I plan to do to the competition this fall with my Green Mambas team......:^)

The Winston Cup teams head to the Magic Mile this weekend. Qualifying for the New England 300 from Loudon, NH will begin at 2:05 pm CDT on Friday, July 18. It will be televised live on The Speed Channel.
