HOW AN EGG CAN CRUSH A ROCK

February 26, 1977

Having slept over yesterday’s conversation with Raminothna, I said to her this morning, “I’m still not convinced that I can ‘transcendentally integrate’ the full range of sciences into ‘OMNI-SCIENCE’.  I’m not even convinced that it can be done at all.  But if indeed one day the ‘Inconceivable’ is conceived, and the ‘Unspeakable’ is spoken, especially by an Omniscientist – a disillusionist - it would necessarily conflict with conventional wisdom or even the Great Religions, pitting the fledgling OMNI-SCIENCE against any of which, let alone all, would be like pitting an egg against a rock.”

“And what would be the result of this great confrontation between the rock and the egg be?”

“Inevitably, the egg would end up getting crushed by the rock.”

     “Not necessarily.”

     “How could it not?”

“By the egg becomes a child, one capable of learning how to use a hammer,” said Raminothna.  “Better yet, also a chisel.”
