| High fibre recipe:
BRAN MUFFINS Yield = 12 muffins 250 ml (1 cup) whole wheat flour 250 ml (1 cup) natural bran 30 ml (2 Tbsp.) oat bran 175 ml (3/4 cup) packed brown sugar 2 ml (1/2 tsp.) salt 5 ml (1 tsp.) baking powder 1 egg, slightly beaten 75 ml (1/3 cup) vegetable oil 175 ml (3/4 cup) 2% milk 5 ml (1 tsp.) vanilla 125 ml (1/2 cup) sunflower seeds 125 ml (1/2 cup) raisins Combine the first six ingredients in a large bowl. In a small bowl, combine the egg, oil, milk and vanilla. Add the egg mixture, raisins and sunflower seeds to the flour mixture. With as few strokes as possible, mix until dry ingredients are just moistened. Drop into 12 muffin cups. Bake at 180� C. (350� F.) for 15 - 20 minutes.
