3D Studio Max:
This software requires absolutely no math or calculations, unlike other 3D graphics programs. 3D Studio Max allows you to work with ready-made shapes: box, sphere, plane, etc. and use modifiers to change them. You can specify parameters like size or shape, or be free and work loosely. Lights, shadows, cameras (animation) and maps are just some of the things 3D Studio Max has the ability to work with. I made the Blue Dragon above from a simple box.
3D Studio's companion program is Character Studio, a program very similar to 3D Studio, where people can be posed and animated.
