G.    Procedure: Two large teams stand in columns facing each other.  First player in column 1 calls out a word of phrase.  This is repeated by the first player in column 2 and repeated in turn by each succeeding player in column 2 without pause.  Each player diminishes the sound so that the sound finally fades away at the end of the line.  Then, first player in column 2 calls out a word or phrase for column 1 to echo and the game continues back and forth as above.  If the teacher would like to add movement to the exercise, the person that calls out the word or phrase can add a movement, and then as the word or phrase passes down the columns, the movement become less and less distinguished until it finally fades away with the sound.

H.    Evaluation: The students will discuss what they liked and disliked about the warm-up, and they will also discuss what they learned about themselves and others around them.  They will discuss how they felt about using their voices, and how they felt as a group working together to make an “echo.”  The teacher will also evaluate the students individually with points using the following system:

4) Focus                                                                       1          2          3          4
