David graduated with honors from East Carolina University. He received a BFA in Theatre Arts Education. He holds a North Carolina Licensure to teach theatre k-12 grade. He has extensive training in technical theatre from work in High school auditoriums, Community theatre Companies, and College/Professional Theatres.
He has been training with Jeff Jones of the Society of American Fight Directors. In the last few years, David has choreographed fight scenes for Romeo and Juliet, Cyrano de Bergerac, Macbeth, and Hawk and Bear.
Outside of the theatre David has been trained in design. He avidly paints and sells the majority of his work on consignment. He has recently won 2 awards for Amateur Photography and has won several awards for painting and drawing.
Mr. Rauschkolb is an North Carolina Teaching Fellow, a member of Kappa Delta Pi, and a gold key scholar. David is also a member of USITT, SAFD, NCTC, SETC, NCEA, PENC
Until August of 2003, David was teaching theatre arts at Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines, NC He also worked as the Robert E. Lee Auditorium Technical Director. David was the sponsor for both the Pinecrest Players and Troupe 4278 of the International Thespian Society.
David Rauschkolb is presently working on his MFA in Technical Direction at the University of Arizona. He is the Technical Director of Arizona Repertory Theatre's production of Pericles. |
