If you were put in this situation, what would you do?
Ok, this scenario popped up years ago in my group of friends..
What I
want to know is, if you were in this situation what would your reaction be..
heh.
Ok ill set the scene:
You are on holidays with some
friends, so you are getting drunk every day/night, hanging out, going out
occasionally, its your typical relaxing, non-touring holiday.
You, your
best friend and another friend get amazingly drunk one night.
You
all decide its time for bed and head off to the same huge bed.
While you are lying there, your best friend and other friend start
"fooling around" in bed (use your imagination, however, no sexual intercourse is
involved)
What do you do? (think short term and long term)
What do
you do later on?
Do you forgive? Do you forget?
Do you get angry and
have a spazz? Do you hate your best friend forever?
Do you tell people about
the incident? Do you keep it to yourself?

Ummm... I would get up and find a couch or another bed to sleep on. Or if I
was too drunk to care, I would just stay in the bed and fall asleep.
Maybe I'd be a bit irritated for having to move. But forgive and forget?
What's there to forgive?
Now, if I was actually attracted to one of the
friends getting it on, that would be a different story. Another thread
perhaps...

decision I made the previous night. If I could make a decision I would respect
it... My interperetation is that you are questioning the actions you did and you
are wondering whether we'd have done the same.

what? What incorrectness has happenned? Sounds like no-one's done anything
wrong, so how can you forgive?
Bas, you seem to think 3 people getting drunk
and fornicating is wrong. Plus, asking the question implies that you either
forgave or didn't (there's the grey area of deciding not to have an opinion).

a real problem with this event and you've never gotten over it. By any chance,

It would definitly depend on their gender, i.e. if it was female/female,
we're gonna half to start talking a whole dif ball game
and it also depends on their relationship status, and mine
however, i'd prolly just exit the situation if i wasn't going to be
involved in it, although i would definitly make fun of them later. that is like,
material to use for years at all the social gatherings

For starters this isnt about 3 people getting drunk and
fornicating. Secondly you seem to have put me in the position of the
bystander in this scenario.. hmm I also don't know where you have pulled
that one from..
As for the "oh why so judgemental", if you read the
initial post again you will see that I have made no judgements and posted no
opinions on this situation.. If anything you are the one being
judgemental.. not only that but you are basing these judgements upon assumptions
which have been formed out of thin air. Very intriguing..

Hahaha.. im not hiding from anything dear, in fact I
was planning on posting the real event which occurred after I had had a few
responses on the issue..
Truth to tell, the only reason I posted this thread
was because I was bored and the forums werent interesting me today (sorry
fellas, no offence intended *grin* If you like, you can ask josh about the fact

Damn, that's an almost identical scenario that happened to me about 4 years
ago! Post traumatic stress returning... eyes... twitching.... body....
spasming....
Anyhow, my best friend Bev & I went out dancing
reaaaaaally late in Seattle & I got quite drunk. Obviously I was too drunk
to go home that night, so I stayed the night at her place. Normally no big deal,
except her girlfriend stayed the night too since she had gone dancing with us as
well. Now, don't get me wrong, I liked her girlfriend - very cool... only I was
in the same place - all of us feeling the effects of alcohol. And as I was
laying there she and her girlfriend started making out - kind of awkward to say
the least.
Yes, in retrospect I realize that having two girls make out
right next to you is most guys fantasy come true, but I really really respect my
friend and it was just awkward (even with being drunk). And you know... it takes
a LOT to make a drunk feel awkward.
To this day we've never talked about
it - I figured that since we were all drinking, that judgement was on the low
end that night and I certainly wasn't going to hold it against her.

First of all, that should be: "Pop quiz, hotshot!!!" And then
you ask your question. My answer is "shoot the hostage in the leg." No, wait,
that's the other other question.
Short term: I get out of the bed,
probably. Let the other kids go to it. Find somewhere else to snooze off the
booze.
Long term: I poke fun at the two drunken gropers if I think they
are ready for that, or else I wait--wait to see how they treat the incident,
wait to see if they bring up the topic with me.
And finally, I post all
the lovely digital snaps I got that night on the faces page.
